Objective measurement vs subjective "perceivable" feeling. Who is spreading misinformation?

Objective measurement vs subjective "perceivable" feeling. Who is spreading misinformation?

TLDR:

Science is based on objective measurement, not subjective "perceivable" feeling.

I don't know since when scientist believe in subjective "perceivable" feeling rather than objective measurement.

Today, I came across the following thread that talks about Flac 16 bit or 24 bit Qobuz | Headphone Reviews and Discussion - Head-Fi.org

One of the posters mentioned there there is a NIH research shows that High-Resolution Audio with Inaudible High-Frequency Components Induces a Relaxed Attentional State without Conscious Awareness - PubMed (nih.gov)

Here are the abstract of the research paper:

The research clearly shows that the participants could perceive the Hi-Res audio and their brains prove that objectively by having higher power in the alpha-band in the EGG measured when full range signal is present. It is shown as below (for details, please refer to the above research paper):

Pseudo Science Way in ignoring Objective Scientific Findings

It is always amazing in seeing how the self-claimed audio (pseudo) scientists in coming up with excuse to walk away from objective scientific finding that is incompatiable with their hard core cult believes. This time, they use the following explanation:

The above research shows the perception of full range signal is registered in human brains (i.e. it is perceivable) and can be measured objectively EEG measurement equipment. EEG is a physiological effect.

Now, in the twisted audio (pseudo) scientists' (aka peacekeepers) mind, they consider all these objective measurements as "not perceivable" and not "physiological".

They are always right

With this pseudo science mindset, they are always right.

It is too sad to see the audio science forums are full of these audio (pseudo) scientisits. I've been doing my best to stop them from spreading misinformation. However, there are too many of them, including the forum moderators. It is not an easy task to debunk their claims one by one.

I think the most effective way is to promote critical thinking. People who has good critical thinking can debunk all these misinformation / pseudo science claims themselves.

Let's keep sharpening our critical thinking skills and debunk all these pseudo science claims together!

You should not hear it! It is your brain fooling you!
