 Open invitation for Joe Bloggs of HiBy Music for on-line discuss about Hi-Res music and NOS DAC.

Looks like Joe Bloggs of HiBy Music is having a limited understanding of Hi-Res music and NOS DAC for playing back Hi-Res music based on my recent discussion with him on Head-Fi.org and it seems that he has his own view about Hi-Res music and NOS DAC.

I hereby invite Joe Bloggs openly for joining an on-line discussion about Hi-Res music and NOS DAC so that I can learn more from him about these topics as I am not able to join any on-line discussions on Head-Fi.org meaningfully because they control my free speech there.

We can continue our discussion here. Here is what you wrote and my reply:

Joe, if you don't feel comfortable (for whatever reasons) in joining the discussion here, please do feel free not to do it as I don't want to push people. (But as I said, if you really want to discuss anything with me, please do it here as my speech is not free on Head-Fi)

I bet the above video , also known as "the Monty's video", is quite famous amongst the supporters who turly believe that " Hi-Res is useless". Whenever these supporters were questioned why "Hi-Res is useless", some of them would just show you that "scientific proof". Some supporter even made another YouTube video to support the very same "scientific" claim based on the same "Monty's video" (as they considered all the things the Monty's video said is factual). Why start this blog?   Sorry, I won't trust those pseudo scientist! ( TL;DR ) I am interested in Hi Fi. I love to listening to good music. I always want to improve my system (with limited budget) to reproduce better music.  Hi-resolution (Hi-Res) music has been around for many years but I didnt pay much attention to it. I do have a few SACDs and that is. I mainly play CD quality (44.1 kHz / 16 bit) source with my system. One day, I came across this site:  Audio Science Review (ASR) Forum  It is a very interesting site. It has a lot of measurments of various audio equipments. Perfect, looks like they can help me to find a budget way to make my HiFi system better. It did help me. I just bought a budget class-D amplifer  recently based on their measurements . It sounds so great.  I started to browse more and more on that site to see what else I can improve with limited budget. Pseudo Science vs Science? "They are the same but different!"

 Pseudo Science vs Science? "They are the same but different!" After a few more rounds of discussions with different people on the internet. It looks to me that the difference is still not clear to most people. Let's see if I can do it better this time: What is pseudo science claim?  If you use “ 1+1=2 ” to justify something like “ earth is flat ”, these kind of claims are pseudo science claim. Do you agree? For example, let’s look at  one  of the infamous pseudo claims in ASR: they claim “Hi-Res is useless” (aka “earth is flat” in my analogy above) by stating the fact that like “you won’t be able to hear higher than 22k Hz unless you are a  Gray Moth ” (aka “1+1=2”). To make it clear: they claim "you cannot hear frequency higher than 22k Hz" (a fact) == implies =>  "Hi-Res music is useless"  Do you consider the above deduction is based on logical deductive reasoning ?
